Design Engineer (Multiple Positions)

Location: 1880 Compton Avenue, Suite 100, Corona, CA 92881

DUTIES

  • Aid in specific tasks relating to the preparation and drafting of grading, street improvements and underground infrastructure plans while adhering to design standards, agency processing requirements, and client expectations. 
  • Prepare designs using AutoCAD 2014/Civil 3D programs within the Civil Engineering industry
  • Prepare water, sewer, drainage, WQMP reports for land development projects. 
  • Assist Project Manager/Engineer in client/agency interaction; endeavor to build lasting relationships and respect. 
  • Work independently or collaboratively as part of a team depending on the assigned task. 
  • Perform multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments/project tasks.
  • Track engineering assignment budgets and meet budget goals. 
  • Perform QA/QC own mark product.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirement: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related plus 6 months of experience in the job offered or as a Civil Engineer or related.

Special Requirements: 

  • California Professional Engineering License
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Flow/Culvert Master, StormCAD, GIS, Hydrology, Hydraulics, water and sewer software programs

Project Engineer

Project Engineer for land development and infrastructure improvement projects. This position will give a motivated and talented candidate the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of multi-disciplined engineering projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aid in the preparation and drafting of grading, street improvements and underground infrastructure plans while adhering to design standards, agency processing requirements, and client expectations.
  • Candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and performing professional land survey work and engineering survey/mapping work within the office.
  • Will be responsible for leading and supervising the work effort, budget, and schedule of office survey/mapping staff performing a wide variety of surveying and mapping functions.
  • Assigns work and trains subordinate professional, technical, and managerial staff in the field and with preparing technical data and calculations to be used in the office or field by engineers.
  • Assists Project Manager in conducting a variety of mapping and land survey projects.
  • Assists in establishing procedures, techniques and selects instrumentation for determinations involving location of points, control lines, boundary lines and areas.
  • Prepares and/or reviews calculations, field notes, maps, title reports, easement documents consisting of engineering, construction, design, and topographic surveys.
  • Prepares and/or reviews parcel and subdivision maps, records of surveys, photogrammetric surveys, plats and legal descriptions.
  • Reviews and checks surveyors' and engineers' work and reports involving survey-related matters.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering and Professional Registration as a Civil Engineer in the state of California is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with skills to manage multi-disciplined engineering projects.
  • Experienced in preparing infrastructure improvement plans for public agencies.
  • Successful candidates will have well-developed problem solving, decision-making, communication and team building skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, CivilDesign, H2OMap Sewer and Water is highly desired.

Survey Analyst (Office Mapping)

Survey Analyst for land development and infrastructure improvement projects. This position will give a motivated and talented candidate the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of multi-disciplined engineering projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform a variety of technical office land surveying work; and to perform related work as required.
  • Organizing and coordinating projects which include a broad range of assignments requiring knowledge of surveying/mapping. Use of various databases in processing field data.
  • Download and post processing of field data.
  • Support team by completing technical mapping and final drawings for agency submittals and specifications for approval.
  • Research and analysis, title reports, ROW/E, ALTA's, topography, photogrammetry, boundaries, and mapping.
  • Prepare legals and plats as required for land development projects.
  • Perform survey calculations, analysis, and field support calculations.
  • Under direct supervision, incumbents serve as assistants on land surveying projects.
  • Operate standard and complex survey instruments to measure horizontal and vertical angels and GPS positioning..
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Registration as a L.S.I.T is required, L.S. is preferred.
  • Typically a minimum of five (5) years related experience is required.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Successful candidates will have well-developed problem solving, decision-making, communication and team building skills.
